It’s hard to believe that I’ve been a mom for over five years now. Some days it feels like just yesterday that she was born, and then on others, I can’t even remember what my former life void of extra responsibilities and filled with heaps of personal freedom was even like! I miss those snuggly, sleepy baby days, but not the bottles and blowouts, haha! Regardless, the kids just keep growing and time keeps ticking, and while they keep getting older, so do we!
Landri is now a proud five year old little girl who loves all things girlie – princesses, Barbies, jewelry, dresses, makeup, etc. And so in theme with this, Landri got her ears pierced for her birthday (shoutout to Miro at Dandyland!). She has been wanting to get them done since she was 3, and I always wanted hers professionally pierced after having issues with the random shopping mall store piercing of my second holes to this day. Anyhow, from my research, I settled on Dandyland, as they are basically the top piercers in the city and are the only ones (here) who belong to the Association of Professional Piercers. The rule is that you have to be 5 years old and so we had been counting down for the last 2 years! Landri ultimately picked a pair of beautiful pink opals for her first pair (I was rooting for turquoise of course, but love the pink too). She kind of freaked after the first ear, but eventually made it through with the second ear and they look great! Miro was incredibly patient and sweet with her and we highly recommend him. Knock on wood, but her ears have never shown any sign of redness or infection and have looked GREAT since day 1! Feel free to contact me if you want to know more.
Landri also is a huge artist – loves to draw, color, paint, and make any kind of craft that she can get her hands on. She loves to play outside and is constantly begging to go camping (same with the brothers), but we’ll save the tent for cooler temperatures this fall and winter. There’s so much to love about Landri, but my favorite thing is her beautiful heart. She truly is a sweet and loving little human. Yes, she has her moments (as do we all), but in general, she amazes me with her kindness. And even though her two crazy little brothers drive her absolutely nuts sometimes, she still loves them and is best buddies with them.
Here are some photos from the last few months including some celebratory birthday photos (she chose a Diva Day with her bestie instead of a birthday party and they got their hair, nails and makeup done)! Happy 5th birthday, Landri!
