Today the Steele Knights defeated San Antonio’s Brennan Bears, 38-7.  It was a 2pm game which was awesome because for once it wasn’t almost midnight when we got home.  When you have three kids ages 3 and under, you consider this to be a huge treat!  Besides the Knights’ usual stellar performance on the field, the most notable thing about the day was the crazy wind.  According to my weather app, the winds averaged 25 mph, with gusts up to 35 and even 45 mph.  The Knights still dominated though, and played great!  We move onto round 3 against Del Rio in San Marcos at Texas State this Friday (yes, that would be a playoff game on Black Friday just miles from the outlet mall) at 8pm. Go Knights!  PS.  In case you were wondering, my kids (well the “big” ones) drove me nuts all game.  I will probably leave them at home next week, especially with an 8pm START time.
